Education

Education is an integral part of Orran’s mission. To achieve our goals we need the educators.

The children are assigned to one of three study groups based on their age – youngest, junior & senior. Each group has a full-time paid teacher and volunteers helping them with daily homework assigned in the local schools. Once the children have completed their homework, the volunteers tutor them in various subjects such as math, physics and languages.

The centers also have paid workshop teachers. Teaching a child a skill not only keeps a child busy and off the streets, but also provides skills that the child can use for a future career. The children love the different workshops: Arts & Craft, Pottery, Handcraft (macramé, embroidery, sewing & beading) and Woodcraft.

For the last 22 years we have educated thousands of children at our centers.
